Kate Noelle "Katie" Holmes (nata il 18 dicembre 1978) è un'attrice e regista americana. Nata a Toledo, Ohio, la moda adolescenziale le ha portato a un ruolo di supporto in The Ice Storm di Ang Lee, prima di raggiungere la fama internazionale come Joey Potter nel teen drama Dawson's Creek dal 1998 al 2003. Durante le sue pause tra una stagione e l'altra è passata al cinema, apparendo in film come Go di Doug Liman, Wonder Boys di Curtis Hanson e Phone Booth di Joel Schumacher.
