Laura Elizabeth Dern (nata il 10 febbraio 1967) è un'attrice e regista statunitense. Ha ricevuto numerosi riconoscimenti, tra cui un Academy Award, un Primetime Emmy Award e cinque Golden Globe Awards. Nata dagli attori Bruce Dern e Diane Ladd, la Dern ha intrapreso la carriera di attrice negli anni '80 ed è salita alla ribalta per le sue interpretazioni in Mask (1985) e Velluto blu (1986) e Cuore selvaggio (1990) di David Lynch. Ha ricevuto una nomination all'Oscar per la sua interpretazione dell'orfana titolare nel film drammatico Rambling Rose (1991) e ha ottenuto riconoscimenti internazionali per il suo ruolo nel film d'avventura di Steven Spielberg Jurassic Park (1993), un ruolo che ha ripreso nel sequel del 2001 Jurassic Park III.
