Velluto blu (1986)
Sotto l'apparente serenità di una cittadina si nasconde un mondo oscuro dove regna l'imprevedibile e da cui gli innocenti si tengono alla larga. È l'ammaliante regno di Velluto Blu. Generato dalla fantasia di David Linch (Mulholland Drive, Twin Peaks), Velluto Blu mescola in maniera scioccante e profondamente inquietante orrore e schiettezza. Jeffrey Beaumont, un onesto giovane interpretato da Kyle MacLachlan, quando trova un orecchio umano in un campo si rende conto che la sua cittadina natale non è poi così tranquilla. Le sue indagini lo catapultano nel mistero seducente ed erotico di un assassinio che coinvolge una problematica cantante di nightclub (Isabella Rossellini) e un tossicodipendente sadico (Dennis Hopper). Ben presto Jeffrey si trova invischiato nelle loro esistenze depravate, sino al punto di non ritorno.
