Tippi Hedren (nata Nathalie Kay Hedren il 19 gennaio 1930 a New Ulm, Minnesota) è un'attrice e modella statunitense. Dopo aver lavorato come modella, venne scelta da Alfred Hitchcock per il suo debutto cinematografico in Gli uccelli (1963), nel ruolo di Melanie Daniels. La sua interpretazione le valse un Golden Globe come nuova attrice più promettente e la rese una delle nuove icone del cinema hollywoodiano. L'anno successivo tornò a lavorare con Hitchcock in Marnie (1964), interpretando la protagonista Margaret "Marnie" Edgar, una donna tormentata dal proprio passato e coinvolta in una complessa relazione con un uomo interpretato da Sean Connery. Il film divenne uno dei titoli più celebri della sua collaborazione con il regista. Dopo la collaborazione con Hitchcock, Hedren continuò a recitare al cinema e in televisione, partecipando a produzioni di diverso genere. Negli anni Settanta si dedicò inoltre alla tutela degli animali e contribuì alla realizzazione di Roar, film del 1981 prodotto insieme all'allora marito Noel Marshall e alla figlia Melanie Griffith. Nel corso della sua lunga carriera, Tippi Hedren è rimasta particolarmente legata all'immaginario cinematografico di Hitchcock, grazie a due interpretazioni che hanno contribuito a renderla una presenza memorabile nella storia del cinema.
