Thomas William Hiddleston (nato il 9 febbraio 1981) è un attore inglese. Ha raggiunto fama internazionale interpretando Loki nell'Universo Cinematografico Marvel (MCU), a partire da Thor nel 2011 e includendo la serie Disney+ Loki (2021–2023). Hiddleston ha iniziato la sua carriera cinematografica con i film di Joanna Hogg Unrelated (2007) e Archipelago (2010). Nel 2011, Hiddleston ha interpretato F. Scott Fitzgerald nella commedia romantica di Woody Allen Midnight in Paris ed è apparso in War Horse di Steven Spielberg. Quell'anno fu nominato per il BAFTA Rising Star Award. Ha continuato a lavorare con autori in film indipendenti, tra cui il dramma The Deep Blue Sea (2012) di Terence Davies, il film sui vampiri Only Lovers Left Alive (2013) di Jim Jarmusch e il film horror Crimson Peak (2015) di Guillermo del Toro. Ha inoltre interpretato il problematico cantante country Hank Williams nel biopic I Saw The Light (2015) e ha diretto il film d'avventura ad alto budget Kong: Skull Island (2017). Hiddleston ha debuttato sul palcoscenico in Journey's End nel 1999. Ha continuato a recitare a teatro, anche nelle produzioni del West End di Cymbeline (2007) e Ivanov (2008). Ha vinto il Laurence Olivier Award come Miglior Debuttante in una Pièce per il suo ruolo in Cymbeline. È stato nominato per lo stesso premio per il suo ruolo di Cassio in Otello (2008). Hiddleston ha interpretato il protagonista in una produzione di Coriolanus (2013–2014), ricevendo una nomination al Laurence Olivier Award come Miglior Attore. Ha debuttato a Broadway in una ripresa del 2019 del dramma Betrayal di Harold Pinter, per la quale è stato nominato al Tony Award come miglior attore in un'opera teatrale.
