War Horse (2011)
Joey è un puledro esuberante, cresciuto libero e selvaggio nella campagna inglese. Separato dalla madre e acquistato da Ted, un ruvido agricoltore, è destinato all'aratro e a risollevare le sorti della famiglia Narracott. Addestrato da Albert, il giovane e ostinato figlio di Ted, Joey ne diventa il compagno di avventura inseparabile, almeno fino a quando i debiti e la guerra non chiederanno il conto. Venduto dal padre per far fronte all'affitto della fattoria, Joey entra a far parte della cavalleria al servizio di un giovane capitano inglese, che promette ad Albert di prendersene cura e di riconsegnarlo a conflitto finito. Galoppando da un fronte all'altro e attraversando l'Europa della Grande Guerra, Joey tocca la vita e favorisce la sorte di soldati e civili.
