Arch of Triumph (1984)
Het Duitse leger staat op het punt om Frankrijk binnen te vallen. Tegen die achtergrond schittert Anthony Hopkins in zijn rol van Ravic, een Oostenrijkse arts die op de vlucht is voor de Nazi's. Hij heeft joodse vluchtelingen geholpen en is gepakt. Na zijn ontsnapping uit een concentratiekamp belandt hij in Parijs. Daar ontmoet hij Joan Madou, een mysterieuze vrouw die een verpletterende indruk op hem achterlaat. Onder dreiging van de Duiste bezetting bloeit een prachtige romance op. Maar de angst voor een nieuwe confrontatie met de Nazi's drukt een stempel op de prille liefde...
