Suspect (1987)
Het is kerst in Washington D.C. Een vrouw wordt dood aangetroffen langs de oever van de rivier de Potomac. Zij is het slachtoffer van een gruwelijke moord waarvan een doofstomme, dakloze Vietnam-veteraan wordt beschuldigd. Pro deo-advocate Kathleen krijgt de zaak toegewezen. Ze gelooft niet dat Carl de moord heeft begaan en is vastbesloten de dader te vinden. Hierbij krijgt zij hulp uit een onverwachte hoek, namelijk van een jurylid.
