Pick a Star (1937)
Cecilia Moore (Rosina Lawrence) hoopt op een carrière als zangeres in Hollywood. Joe Jenkins (Jack Haley) is verliefd op haar en steunt haar door dik en dun. Hij neemt zelfs een baantje als kelner in Hollywood om zo mogelijk bekende filmproducenten te ontmoeten. Cecilia, die ook naar Hollywood komt, komt erachter dat Joe slechts een ober is, en teleurgesteld gaat zij mee met de bekende acteur Rinaldo Lopez (Mischa Auer). Lopez heeft echter andere bedoelingen dan Cecilia denkt.
