Hig is een jonge piloot die samen met militair en survivalexpert Bangley een geïsoleerd, maar goed functionerend onderkomen heeft opgebouwd in een meedogenloze postapocalyptische wereld. Wanneer Hig op een dag een mysterieuze radioboodschap opvangt, besluit hij het onbekende tegemoet te gaan. Tijdens zijn zoektocht naar de bron van het signaal gaat hij op zoek naar de hoop en menselijkheid waarvan hij gelooft dat die nog altijd bestaan.
