The Mule (2012)
Een groep Mexicaanse vluchtelingen, onder leiding van de Amerikaanse humanitaire hulpverlener Aaron (Billy Zane), probeert illegaal de grens met de Verenigde Staten over te steken. In de woestijn verzeilen ze in een vuurgevecht en Aaron wordt gevangen genomen en gegijzeld. Aarons zus Sofie (Sharon Stone) is een verslaggeefster voor de Phoenix Daily in Arizona. Wanneer ze Aaron belt, hoort ze alleen een schot van een wapen. Ze beseft dat haar broer in gevaar verkeert en besluit op onderzoek te gaan.
