The Wind and the Lion (1975)
In 1904 is Marokko de bron van conflicten tussen Duitsland, Frankrijk en het Britse Rijk, die allen proberen een invloedssfeer in het land te bemachtigen. Tijdens een overval door een groep Marokkaanse rovers worden de Amerikaanse vrouw Eden Pedecaris en haar kinderen, William en Jennifer, ontvoerd en Sir Joshua Smith, een Britse vriend van haar, vermoord. De leider van de rovers, Mulay Achmed Mohammed el-Raisuli, vraagt schandalig veel losgeld met de bedoeling een internationaal incident uit te lokken, de Sultan in verlegenheid te brengen en een burgeroorlog op poten te zetten. Al snel voelt hij echter iets voor haar en krijgen ze wat met elkaar.
