Kostuumdrama over de vriendschap tussen King Henry II en Thomas à Becket. Becket was een graag geziene gast onder de royalty en werd door Henry II benoemd als Aartsbischop van Canterbury. Dit vooral omdat de koning zelf nogal wat problemen met de kerk had.
