Levensdans (1939)
Judith Traherne is een assertieve vrouw die steeds vaker geplaagd wordt door hoofdpijnen en wegvallen van het gezichtsvermogen. Dr. Steele diagnosticeert een hersentumor bij haar, en na enig aandringen laat zij zich opereren. Ondertussen worden ze verliefd, en al snel na de operatie trouwen ze, maar wat Steele haar niet durft te vertellen is dat de tumor terug zal komen en ze niet lang meer te leven heeft.
