Tegen de eeuwwisseling aan raakt bekend dat het einde van de wereld nadert. Van allerlei personen wordt getoond hoe ze met deze ondergang omgaan, om zes uur 's avonds met nog zes uur te gaan voor het einde daar zal zijn.
