Thunder Road (1958)
De onverbeterlijke drank smokkelaar Luke Doolin uit Tennessee maakt gevaarlijke leveringen voor zijn drank producerende vader, Vernon, maar laat zijn jongere broer Robin niet toetreden tot het familiebedrijf. Onder druk van zowel gangster Kogan van buiten de stad, die een deel van de lokale actie wil, als agent Barrett, die de illegale drankhandel wil stoppen, vecht Luke voor zijn snel vervagende manier van leven.
