Capturing the Friedmans (2003)
De Friedmans zijn een schijnbaar doodgewone, Joods-Amerikaanse middenstandsfamilie. In 1987 wordt hun huis plots bestormd door de politie. Arnold en zijn achttienjarige zoon Jesse worden gearresteerd en beschuldigd van het bezit van kinderporno en van het misbruiken van tientallen jongens. Onder de druk van het onderzoek en de nieuwsgierigheid van de pers begint het gezin uiteen te vallen. De film bekijkt de gebeurtenissen vanuit verschillende standpunten. Daarbij wordt vreemd genoeg ook gebruik gemaakt van unieke beelden die de gezinsleden zelf maakten tijdens de hoogoplopende spanningen binnen het gezin.
