Nightcrawler (2014)
Nightcrawler is een grimmig portret van de duistere kant van L.A en vertelt het verhaal van de curieuze en ambitieuze kruimeldief Louis Bloom die door de economische crisis moeilijk aan nieuw werk kan komen. Hij voelt zich aangetrokken tot de onderwereld van Los Angeles en als hij op een nacht verloren door de stad loopt stuit hij bij toeval op een paar aasgieren (nightcrawlers) in actie. Hij schaft een goedkope videocamer en een politieradioscanner aan en gaat op jacht. Verkeersongevallen, slachtoffers van overvallen, huisinbraken, niets lijkt te gek. Louis zoekt de grenzen van zijn werk op en gaat daar al snel overheen...
