Crazy Heart (2009)
Ooit was hij één van de grootste performers en inspireerde hij generaties countryzangers, maar vandaag is Bad Blake slechts een schaduw van zichzelf. Zijn leven speelt zich af tussen concertzalen en goedkope motels en hij probeert, tevergeefs en zonder passie, zijn oude succes over te brengen aan de laatste fans die nog naar zijn optredens komen. Wanneer zijn pad dat van Jean, een jonge lokale journaliste, kruist, vindt Bad de smaak van het leven terug. Maar hij moet aanspraak doen op hetgeen hem het meest dierbaar is, zijn muziek, om te voorkomen dat hij ingehaald wordt zijn oude demonen, alcohol en zelfvernietiging.
