The Bed Sitting Room (1969)
Londen, drie jaar na een atoomoorlog. De jonge Penelope woont samen met haar ouders in een metrowagon. Tijdens één van haar tochtjes buiten de deur ontmoet ze Allan. De twee worden verliefd en besluiten zich te laten trouwen door de onderwaterdominee. Niet lang daarna wordt Penelope zwanger en ze ziet de toekomst zowaar rooskleurig tegemoet.
