Billy Liar (1963)
Billy Fisher is een jonge dagdromer die graag fantaseert over een land waar hij een held is. Op een dag liegt over zijn handelingen om een straf te ontlopen, maar om zijn sporen uit te wissen zijn al spoedig grotere leugens nodig, waar hij langzaam in dreigt te verdrinken.
