Duimelijntje is het klassiek verhaal van een klein meisje dat ervan overtuigd is dat, zolang ze haar hart maar volgt, niets onmogelijk is. Duimeliijntje ontmoet Prins Cornelius, een betoverde elf die net zo klein is als zij, en weet zeker dat ze haar hartewens gevonden heeft. Maar nog voor die romance waarheid kan worden, wordt ze gekidnapt door een bende showbusiness padden, om de tuin geleid door een geniepige tor en gedwongen tot een verloving met een verstrooide mol.
