John Adams: Nixon in China (2011)
Het baanbrekende werk van John Adams brengt het bezoek van de Amerikaanse president Nixon aan de Volksrepubliek China in 1972 levendig tot leven. De productie van Peter Sellars in de Metropolitan Opera, gebaseerd op zijn enscenering in wereldpremière in 1987, bevat choreografie van Mark Morris en sterren James Maddalena als Nixon, Robert Brubaker als voorzitter Mao, Janis Kelly als First Lady Pat Nixon, Russell Braun als de Chinese premier Chou En-lai en Kathleen Kim als Chiang Ch'ing, de vrouw van Mao.
