Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016)
Galen Erso is een gewaardeerde wetenschapper van het net opgerichte Galactische Keizerrijk. Zijn genialiteit was van cruciaal belang voor de technologische ontwikkeling van de Ster des Doods. Hoewel hij tegenstander van het Keizerrijk is, ziet hij geen andere mogelijkheid dan medewerking te verlenen. Hij ziet toch kans om de plannen van het Keizerrijk te saboteren en zijn acties kenbaar te maken aan het verzet. Hierop probeert een eigenzinnige groep rebellen een wanhopige missie uit te voeren. Die wil de plannen voor Ster des Doods stelen, voordat deze kan worden gebruikt om de heerschappij van de keizer af te dwingen.
