Detective Guy Johnson krijgt 100 dollar per week voor het schaduwen van miljonair Heyward. Die is pas gehuwd met de knappe Vivian. Guy vindt op een dag de dronken Heyward bij het lijk van Dolores Gonzales, het moordwapen nog in Heywards hand. Guy is ervan overtuigd dat Heyward in de val gelokt is maar kan dit niet bewijzen. Niet alleen Heyward wordt opgepakt maar ook Guy wordt verdacht van medeplichtigheid.
