Cousin Bette (1998)
Cousin Bette, een arme en eenzame vrouw heeft haar prominente zus verloren en probeert nu gezelschap te zoeken bij andere mensen. Maar baron Hulot en haar nichtje Hortense moeten niks van haar hebben, waardoor ze uitkomt bij een jonge beeldhouwer die ze redt van zijn ondergang. Maar de artiest wordt verliefd op uitgerekend Hortense, waardoor Bette uit is op wraak. Samen met Jenny vernietigt ze langzaam de levens van haar familieleden.
