First Cow (2020)
De negentiende eeuw. Cookie Figowitz wordt als kok ingehuurd voor een groep pelsjagers in het Oregonterritorium. Op een nacht in het bos ontmoet Cooke de mysterieuze immigrant King-Lu die op de vlucht is voor enkele wraakzuchtige Russen. Het begin van een ontluikende vriendschap. De twee stappen samen in een onderneming waarvan het succes afhankelijk is van de melkproductie van een dure melkkoe van een landeigenaar.
