Coney Island (1943)
Aan het begin van de eeuw baant de vlotte oplichter Eddie Johnson zich een weg naar een baan bij vriend en rivaal Joe Rocco's uitgaansgelegenheid op Coney Island. Eddie ontmoet de sterattractie van de club (en Joe's love interest), Kate Farley, een onbezonnen zangeres met een voorliefde voor flitsende kleding. Eddie en Kate maken ruzie terwijl hij haar imago probeert te verzachten. Uiteindelijk wordt Kate de toost van Coney Island en worden de twee verliefd. Joe probeert dan hun huwelijksplannen te saboteren.
