Sharpe's Rifles (1993)

De eerste taak van Sharpe en zijn negentiende-eeuwse commando's is het escorteren van een groep Spaanse guerilla's en de Iberische edelman-soldaat Blas Vivar, die een geheimzinnige kist vervoeren. De groep vrijheidsvechters staat onder leiding van de vurige Teresa, die een ijzeren kern onder haar sensuele uiterlijk verbergt. Al snel vliegen de vonken eraf tussen Sharpe en zijn vrouwelijke tegenhanger. Vooral als blijkt dat de Franse cavalerie, onder aanvoering van een mysterieuze Man in het Zwart, aast op de inhoud van de kist. Echter, naarmate de jacht op Sharpe en zijn metgezellen fanatiekere vormen aanneemt, wordt ook het bondgenootschap tussen hem en Teresa hechter
