The Hawaiians (1970)
Whip Hoxworth vestigt zich in 1870 met zijn vrouw Purity op Hawaii. Hoewel hij in eerste instantie alleen een stuk onvruchtbare grond heeft, weet hij met de ananasteelt een goed kapitaal te verdienen. Zijn Chinese huishoudster Nyuk Tsin krijgt van hem een stuk land als startkapitaal. Als haar man echter lepra krijgt, gaat ze met hem in ballingschap.
