The Pursuit of Happiness (1971)
William Popper is de telg van een rijke protestantse familie. De student verzet zich echter tegen een kleinburgerlijk leven. Op een dag veroorzaakt hij een ongeluk waarbij een oudere vrouw om het leven komt. Geplaagd door schuldgevoelens besluit hij weg te lopen en met zijn vriendin naar Mexico te vluchten. Het begin van dit nieuwe leven ontwikkelt zich tot een psychologische horror trip...
