Susan Alexandra "Sigourney" Weaver (geboren op 8 oktober 1949) is een Amerikaanse actrice. Weaver wordt beschouwd als een pionier op het gebied van actieheldinnen in sciencefictionfilms. Ze staat bekend om haar rol als Ellen Ripley in de Alien-franchise, die haar in 1986 een Academy Award-nominatie opleverde en wordt vaak beschouwd als een van de belangrijkste vrouwelijke hoofdrolspelers in de filmgeschiedenis. Wever was zeven keer genomineerd voor een Golden Globe Award en won in 1988 zowel Beste Actrice in Drama als Beste Vrouwelijke Bijrol voor haar werk in de films Gorillas in the Mist en Working Girl, en werd de eerste persoon die in hetzelfde jaar twee Golden Globes voor acteren won. .
