Hij is bekend van zijn rol als Pennywise in de horrorfilms It (2017) en It Chapter Two (2019), en de prequelserie It: Welcome to Derry (2025). Andere horrorrollen speelde hij in de series Hemlock Grove (2013–2015) en Castle Rock (2018–2019) en in de films Barbarian (2022) en Nosferatu (2024).
