Sophie Okonedo, OBE (geboren in 1968) is een Britse actrice en zangeres die in zowel succesvolle Britse als Amerikaanse producties heeft gespeeld. In 1991 maakte ze haar acteerdebuut in het Britse, door critici geprezen coming-of-age drama Young Soul Rebels. In 2004 oogstte ze veel lof voor haar rol als Tatiana Rusesabagina, de vrouw van de Rwandese hotelmanager Paul Rusesabagina in de genocidefilm Hotel Rwanda (2004). Deze rol leverde haar een Oscarnominatie op voor Beste Actrice in een Bijrol.
