Hamlet (1990)
Dänenprinz Hamlet muss vom Geist seines toten Vaters erfahren, dass dieser durch die Hand seines eigenen Bruders Claudius vergiftet wurde. Der Mörder hat inzwischen den Thron bestiegen und Hamlets Mutter Gertrude geheiratet. Schockiert täuscht Hamlet geistige Verwirrung vor, woraufhin seine Angebetete Ophelia Selbstmord begeht. Um den neuen König zu überführen, lässt Hamlet den Meuchelmord von Wanderschauspielern aufführen und löst eine Tragödie aus.
