Die Clampetts sind "die totalen Hinterwäldler": Sie hausen in einer verrotteten Hütte, sind ständig blank und haben auch sonst keinen Durchblick. Das ändert sich jedoch schlagartig, als Papa Jed durch Zufall auf Öl stößt. Von nun an sprudelt nicht nur die Quelle, sondern auch die Kohle. Für die frischgebackenen Milliardäre gibt es natürlich nur einen Ort wo man leben kann - Beverly Hills. Die Schönen und Reichen haben garantiert schon alles gesehen, alles... bis auf die Clampetts!
