Bowfingers große Nummer (1999)
Action-Star Kit Ramsey steigt, ohne es zu ahnen, zum Hauptdarsteller einer unsäglichen Science-Fiction-Klamotte auf. Deren Urheber, der notorisch bankrotte Filmemacher Bowfinger und sein unbegabter Drehbuchautor Afrim, haben es sich in den Kopf gesetzt, die Welt mit einem Werk über Regentropfen-förmige Aliens zu beglücken. Dieses Unterfangen wird ihnen jedoch nur finanziert, wenn es ihnen gelingt, Kit für das Projekt zu gewinnen. Also machen sich die tapferen Glücksritter mit versteckter Kamera auf zur fröhlichen Hollywoodstar-Jagd.
