Flashbacks of a Fool (2008)
Der alternde Hollywoodstar und selbstverliebte Lebemensch Joe Scott, wohnt mit seiner lakonischen, persönlichen Assistentin Ophelia in Hollywood. Mit dem Tod seines besten Jugendfreundes Boots beginnt eine Rückblende in Joes Kindheit in einem kleinen Seebad im England der 70er Jahre. Er erinnert sich an Jugendschwarm Ruth, die seine Liebe nicht erwiderte und später Boots heiratete; und auch Evelyn, die Freundin seiner Mutter, die ihn zu verführen versuchte, kehrt in seine Gedanken zurück. Auf Grund dieser Ereignisse verließ er seinerzeit England. Zurück in der Gegenwart, beschließt Joe nach England zu reisen, um sich seiner Vergangenheit zu stellen. Dort trifft er auch Ruth wieder, die trauernde Witwe von Boots.
