Miss Potter (2006)
Beatrix Potter reift im behüteten Hause reicher Patrizier des viktorianischen Londons zur (beinahe) vierzigjährigen Jungfrau heran und widerstrebt dabei allen Versuchen, sie mit einem Gentleman von Stande zu verkuppeln. Lieber vertreibt sie sich die Zeit mit der Illustration niedlicher Tiere, die ihr erst Freundesersatz und dann kreatives Ventil sind. Als schließlich ein junger Verleger die erfolgreiche Kinderbuchautorin in ihr wittert, entdeckt Beatrix auch die Liebe. Die Eltern aber sind pikiert.
