Die Handschrift des Killers (2000)
Als kurz nach Lucky Sinclairs Ankunft im Ort eine Frau ermordet wird, glaubt Sheriff Norris nicht an einen Zufall. Der berühmte Autor ist sein Hauptverdächtiger. Seine Ermittlungen sieht Norris allerdings durch Detective Sonya Lehrman gestört, die ebenfalls auf den Fall angesetzt ist. Sie hält Sinclair nicht für absolut schuldig. Sie glaubt, er könne ihr helfen und bespricht mit ihm den Fall. Sinclair spekuliert, dass der Killer wahrscheinlich schone in anderes Mädchen ermordet hat und der Täter sich in einer zerstörerischen Phase befindet und bald wieder töten wird. Tatsächlich wird eine weitere Leiche gefunden. Ist Sinclair doch der Mörder?
