Robert MacDougal ist Dieb. Nicht irgendein Dieb, nein, er ist einer der größten Diebe der Welt. Leicht zu fassen ist so ein erfahrener Fuchs natürlich nicht, und so soll sich die attraktive Gin Baker im Auftrag ihrer Versicherungsgesellschaft an MacDougal heranmachen, indem sie vorgibt, eine Einbrecherin zu sein, um den charmanten Langfinger dann auf frischer Tat zu überführen. Und so stiehlt das Gaunerpärchen zunächst eine wertvolle antike Goldmaske aus einem Londoner Museum, um sich dann einem ganz großen Coup zu widmen: einem Einbruch in eine malaysische Großbank in Kuala Lumpur am Abend der Jahrtausendwende, bei dem 8 Millarden Dollar herausspringen sollen…
