Rhythmus im Blut (1954)
Die Donahues treten mit ihren drei Kindern als "Die fünf Donahues" auf der Bühne auf. Sohn Steve verlässt die Truppe und wird Priester. Sohn Tim lernt in einem Nachtclub die Garderobiere Vicky kennen, die ein Lied vorträgt. In Florida sieht er Vicky wieder: Sie tritt im Programm auf. Als ihre Nummer "Heat Wave" eingebaut wird, entzweien sich die Donahues, bis sie nach Alleingängen, Unfällen und Misserfolgen als "Die fünf Donahues" wieder zusammen finden, zu denen sich Vicky auf die Bühne gesellt.
