Heiligabend in Kalifornien - Stille Nacht und Weihnachtsstern - denkste! Wenn Steve Martin als Lebensretter Philip auftaucht, biegen sich selbst die Tannenbäume vor Lachen! Seine Telefon-Hotline für lebensmüde Chaoten klingelt am laufenden Band, Kollegin Catherine ist unsterblich in ihn verliebt und daher völlig daneben. Blanche steckt im Lift fest und schreit das ganze Haus zusammen, die verrückte Gracie hat verschärft Zoff mit ihrem Mann, der erschossene Hausmeister wird geschickt im Christbaum verpackt.
