Kidnap (2017)
Eigentlich hatte Karla für sich und ihren Sohn Frankie einen schönen Tag auf dem Rummelplatz der Stadt geplant. Zu zweit wollten sie Karussell fahren, Zuckerwatte essen und unbeschwert das sonnige Wetter genießen. Deshalb ist ein Kidnapping auch nicht das erste, woran die Mutter denkt, als ihr Kind beim Versteckspielen auf dem Jahrmarkt plötzlich verschwindet. Doch dann sieht sie, wie Frankie in ein fremdes Auto gezogen wird, und sie kann nicht verhindern, dass der Wagen mit ihm davonfährt. Verzweifelt wendet Karla sich hilfesuchend zunächst über den offiziellen Weg an die Obrigkeiten. Doch als sie die Entführung auf einem Polizeirevier beim Deputy Sheriff (Dana Gourrier) melden will, wird ihr schnell klar, dass die Polizei nicht schnell genug handeln wird, um ihren Sohn zu retten. Also macht sich die zu allem bereite Mutter auf eigene Faust auf die Suche nach ihrem Kind und lässt sich dabei von nichts und niemandem von ihrem Vorhaben abbringen.
