Freeway (1996)
Die 15jährige Vanessa hat mit ihren Eltern einige Probleme. Die Mutter ist drogensüchtig und prostituiert sich, der Stiefvater, auf Bewährung aus dem Gefängnis entlassen, versucht des öfteren, sich an Vanessa zu vergreifen. Als sie wieder einmal von der Jugendhilfe aus zu einer Pflegefamilie geschickt werden soll, reißt sie aus und macht sich auf den Weg zur Großmutter. Auf dem Weg gelangt sie an den berüchtigten Highway-Killer, einen psychopatischen, perversen Schulpsychologen. In Notwehr schießt sie auf ihn, doch er überlebt. Bei der Gerichtsverhandlung glaubt ihr niemand, alle bemitleiden den scheinbar unbescholtenen Psychologen, bis ihm die Polizei auf die Schliche kommt.
