Richard III (1995)
England, in den 30er Jahren dieses Jahrhunderts. Nach dem Ende eines schrecklichen Bürgerkriegs bekommt die Monarchie einen neuen König. Edward IV. hat drei Kinder, was die Thronfolge auf lange Zeit sichert. Sein machthungriger Bruder Richard möchte jedoch selbst die Krone. Nacheinander tötet er alle, die ihm auf dem Weg zur Macht im Weg stehen - sogar seine eigene Ehefrau. Endlich gekrönt, mordet Richard III. weiter. Im Ausland stellt der junge Henry Richmond daraufhin eine Armee zum Sturz des tyrannischen Monarchen zusammen.
