Der letzte Held Amerikas (1973)
Ex-Alkoholschmugler wird Nachwuchs-Rennfahrer und feiert rasch Erfolge. Danach verliebt er sich unglücklich und muss bald erkennen, dass er als Einzelgänger gegen die größeren Teams keine Chance hat. Er hat nun die Wahl: Entweder er ordnet sich den Zwängen des Rennbetriebs und eines Promotors unter oder als Autorennfahrer (höchstwahrscheinlich) zu scheitern.
