King Kong lebt (1986)
Zehn Jahre sind vergangen, seit der legendäre Riesenaffe King Kong, durch Militär-Schüsse schwer verwundet, vom World Trade Center in die Tiefe stürzte. King Kong überlebte den Sturz, lag jedoch die nächsten zehn Jahre im Koma - bis Tierärztin Amy Franklin nun einen Weg gefunden hat, ihm wieder ein natürliches Leben ermöglichen zu können: ein künstliches Herz soll dem gigantischen Gorilla ein neues Leben schenken. Die Mission scheint unmöglich, schließlich sind für den Eingriff Unmengen von Spenderblut nötig und King Kong ist, soweit bekannt, der einzige Primat seines Kalibers. Doch dann stößt der Abenteurer Hank Mitchell im Dschungel von Borneo auf ein weiteres Exemplar der Gattung und transportiert es in die Vereinigten Staaten. Es ist ein Weibchen. Die Transplantation glückt und King Kong verliebt sich auf der Stelle in seine Retterin....
