Gefangen in der Traumfabrik (1996)
Hollywood war schon immer ziemlich queer! Doch bis 1968 verbot ein konservativer Produktionscode die offene Darstellung von Schwulen und Lesben auf der Leinwand. Kreative Filmemacher schafften es trotzdem immer wieder, schwules und lesbisches Begehren auf die Leinwand zu bringen – mal verschlüsselt und nur für Eigeweihte erkennbar, mal beeindruckend direkt und eigentlich unübersehbar. In den 1970ern löste sich das queere Kino allmählich von den Restriktionen ehe mit dem „New Queer Cinema“ ab Ende der 1980er Jahre eine große Bandbreite von nicht-heteronormativen Perspektiven und Lebenserfahrungen den Weg zu Filmfestivals und ins Kino fand.
