Heiße Erde (1957)
Auf einer Karibikinsel, die unter der britischen Krone steht, betreibt Maxwell Fleury eine Plantage, auf der viele Schwarze arbeiten. Die politischen Ambitionen des dunkelhäutigen David Boyeur sind ihm gar nicht lieb. Affären, Gerüchte, Machtspiele und ein Mord führen zu Spannungen zwischen den Inselbewohnern.
